April brought us a new Roadie: Jussi!
Jussi Heikkonen
Consultant, Martech
Hi Jussi, How did you get good at what you do?
I originally chose business studies over law and social sciences due to the broadness of what one can do in working life. I tried to get the most out of my time studying and can happily say that I got a great variety of experiences in the field of business.
At some point during my studies, I realised that working at the forefront of business and technology might be something for my future. I’m always curious to try out and learn about new tech that makes things a bit better.
Why Columbia Road?
Back in the day, I walked by Columbia Road’s office in Helsinki and saw floral posters at cool venues, thinking: “That seems like a nice company!” Eventually, I got to know the company a bit better and was really impressed.
CR consists of highly talented colleagues that are fun to work with. CR’s specialisation in sales means that I get to work with interesting customers on topics that are at the core of their business and learn new things every day. I appreciate CR’s values and culture, including the business-first mindset and freedom in working.
What makes your heart beat a little faster?
Family and friends are the most important, and I would say most of my free time is spent around them. Music and films are also a source of endless joy, and I’m always eager to find new stuff to hear and see – and go on discussing these forever.
I’m also really fond of Japan, especially the food and language. I’m hoping to return to studying Japanese again sometime in the near future. I think the curiosity of doing something completely new and different, like starting to learn a completely foreign language, is also something that I hope to maintain in my working life.
