Hi Aleksandr, How did you get good at what you do?

I became a skilled software engineer through a combination of formal education and practical experience. After completing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, I took on various internships and jobs to gain practical experience in software engineering and programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.

I landed my first internship as a junior developer at Microsoft, where I worked on developing web applications and learned valuable skills in database management and server-side scripting. Over time, I advanced to more senior roles, taking on larger and more complex projects in different companies like SAP and Polestar. One of my notable accomplishments was the development of a mobile app that tracked solar energy consumption for the company's clients in Germany.

I continue to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools through ongoing learning and development opportunities. Currently, I engage in self-study of Machine Learning and Data Analysis, focusing on building ML models and deploying them to production environments. I aim to apply these skills to help businesses make revenue-generating data-driven decisions.

What makes your heart beat a little faster?

What makes my heart beat a little faster is the ability to create something out of nothing. Filmmaking allows me to bring my visions to life and tell stories. In my spare time, I enjoy playing movie scores on my synthesiser and creating new arrangements that stir up emotions in myself and others. Being able to combine my passion for storytelling and music is truly an exhilarating experience. I believe there are very few things as inspiring as creating a beautiful movie sequence synchronised with great music.
