Hi Linda, How did you get good at what you do?

I started my career with a business focus, majoring in marketing at Aalto University School of Business and in International Management in CEMS (Global Alliance in Management Education).

Through a sales job at a cloud-based start-up, I ended up in the tech field. After the start-up, I worked at a telecommunication company, Telia, and more recently at Salesforce, where I spent the first 4.5 years helping our customers implement Salesforce and the last 1.5 years on the sales side helping our customers innovate and expand further with the Salesforce platform.

I have collaborated with companies from multiple industries to transform their (digital) customer journeys and user experience. I look at the business from a holistic point of view and aim to build a vision with an end-to-end focus.

Why Columbia Road?

After living and working abroad for 7.5 years in total, I decided it was time to return back to my home country, Finland. Once I started researching the market about potential new career opportunities, Columbia Road stood out from the crowd. The focus on innovation, community-led culture, trust, transparency and professional growth seemed unique and intriguing.

Once I got to know the company more and got to speak with multiple people during the recruitment process, it became clear that the culture was truly present in the company. This gave me a feeling that Columbia Road is a company where I can utilise my background and strengths and impact my career path while working on interesting projects with highly skilled, motivated and nice people.

What makes your heart beat a little faster?

Family and friends are important in my life. In addition to this, I am interested in both physical and mental well-being. Coming from a competitive sports background, sports and movement have always been a part of my life. In recent years, I have also learned to listen to my body more and see exercise as a broader umbrella where also the connection of the body and the mind play a big role.

Nowadays, I like to move my body in different ways such as yoga, dance, gym, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, etc. I also aim to incorporate mindfulness in my days and spend quite some time reading and researching about overall wellbeing.
